My assistant kept his eye on the pasture, and all kinds of creatures were coming out for the Spring. He doesn’t stay with me for long.

My challenge today – there seems to be a challenge often lately- was two-fold:
One: to get the Pantry Food Support Blog out on time and in a coherent way. Sarah sent me some photos, Maria sent me some more, and I did a lot of squishing, dribbling, and eye drops, but got it out. The volunteers smiled for me.
Two: To show me I can still take my flower pictures with one eye and a weak (temporarily, we hope) right sight of my face.
Late this afternoon, my face and eye seemed as clear and fluid as they were going to be, so I stopped down at Sue’s Cambridge Flower shop, and she gave me, no charge, some beautiful irises. I had some beautiful snapdragons, one of my favorite background flowers.
Everyone I see notices my eye and asks me if I’m all right. I might put a sign on that reads: No, I didn’t have a stroke. I’ve got Bell’s Palsy. It looks a bit like a strike, but it is not anything like one.
It took me a good hour, and longer, to transfer the Iphone pictures to my computer. I took some photos with my Leica. It was a challenge I loved, and I will be doing it for a while. It’s free. Take a look. One eye photos all, tomorrow my handmade black heather eye patch arrives from Amazon.
The trick is patience and very slow movements.
I am told I might be wearing my eye patch for months. I do love challenges; they keep me young and focused. The photos were all taken with my Iphone ProMax and my Loaner Leica.
