I was too busy today to fuss about my new health issue, Bell’s Palsy. The biggest problem is my drooping right eyelid, the most visible part of me. I am dreading going out and getting questions as long as this problem persists, which could be a long while. I got an eye patch,  but I’m not too comfortable with it yet.

The eye seems to be my biggest problem. I can take my pictures and write my stories, but it will take a bit longer with one functioning eye.

I’m tired, as promised. That should get better in a while. But it hasn’t kept me from doing my work, helping with Maria when I could, and driving to Saratoga to get tested for a new leg brace, the old one is wearing out under the pressure of my ever-flattening foot.

My doctor said working won’t be a problem as long as I make sure to rest frequently until it clears up. No pills, no tests.

I spent some time on the porch with my flowers, Zinnia (she is watching me closely now), and Zip.) I’m sure he knows anything she knows.

Maria and I had a long talk last night about how we will deal with my getting sicker over the next few years. She thought she should have noticed that my right side face was disfigured. I should have, too, but neither of us thought it was serious, let alone anything like a strike. If the dentist hadn’t noticed, I probably still wouldn’t have looked into it.

Rest time. Glanced at the news. It was nicer in the hospital. See you in the morning.

Zip, my assistant,  is pleased to see all the rodents who’ve come out of their summer hiding places. He does check on me, though.

I didn’t notice Froggy the Magic Gremlin was in the photo until I saw it on the computer. I had no idea he was peeking at this photo, which was the last taken, inside.
