Good morning and happy holiday from Orwellian Nation.
I have a slight change to my weekend schedule.
My daughter Emma and her daughter Robin are coming to the farm today to spend the weekend, and they are heading back to Brooklyn on Monday. I’m excited. Robing wants to make a potholder with Maria, feed the chickens out of her hand again, and spend some time with Zip, who loves attention. Sunday, at Robin’s request and Emma’s enthusiastic review, we’re all going to see “The Sheep Detective,” a huge hit I might have missed.
I might have a thought on aging, but I hope to be quiet and soak up some family. If you can, please read a special report I wrote on “Women’s Care Day…” at the Cambridge Pantry. Help if you can.

Robin is getting drawn to the farm, and we’ll mostly hang around the house. Emma has leased a rental apartment by a lake just a few feet from us. I’ve got to take a few naps, but my Bell’s Palsy is already getting better. I have trouble with my right eye, but my right-sided mouth is returning to normal.
I’ve still got to wear my brace.
I’m taking Sunday off to be with Emma and Robin and curtailing the blogging a bit – Pantry requests every day but Sunday, and I hope to post my Flower Art posts every night, my eye and my family not withstanding.
I wish you all a happy and peaceful weekend. None of us, red or blue, needs any more pronouncements from the President if he can resist himself for a while. I’d suggest staying off the news for a couple of days and seeing what happens.

so happy for you having Robin and Emma visit….the best medicine EVER…….(along with Maria, of course). Things *happen* ….for a reason that we sometimes cannot fathom…….this is perfect and just what you needed!

Enjoy your time with Robin and Emma. We just returned from three days on the Maine coast, in a circa 1780s inn with no tv anywhere. I stayed off my laptop for the entire time, except to upload some photo files. It was wonderful.
