Yesterday was a Grand Slam for the Army of Good. Responding to the Pantry’s call for assistance, they were running out of food to give to people from the Wish List.

“Yesterday,” Sarah wrote, they fulfilled all of yesterday’s requests, from Chicken Pot Pie to Suddenly Salad to Life Cereal boxes to Velvetta Cheese to Ravioli.

“The Army of Good did great,” she wrote, “it is such a relief for us.”

That’s no exaggeration; you would have to be there at the Pantry to grasp how upset and anxious Sarah and her volunteers get when a popular and important item is running out. It is profoundly disturbing to them. Thanks for your help.

A huge grant just expired and won’t be replaced.

In the past few days, the Army of Good has allowed the Pantry to take down more than 20 Wish List items. It’s beautiful to be part of this. Love and compassion are stronger than anything. There are lots of us who won’t give in to hatred.

The Pantry and we are holding our own.

A huge grant sent its last big load of food, but it’s been canceled.

Mike, a great portrait face. He helps with truck deliveries from supermarkets and puts away all the items by color. He is always willing to come in and help the Pantry volunteers.
