Approximately 14.1 million children in the United States face hunger and live in food-insecure households in the world’s richest country, according to the latest data released by the Food Research & Action Center (FRAC). This means about one in five children do not have consistent access to the affordable, nutritious food necessary to lead a healthy life. That means their families do not have enough food for everyone. They won’t get to ride on those billion-dollar yachts or get invited to birthday celebrations at the White House.
