Canned beets are one of the healthiest items on the Wish List and have not been available for more than a month. Canned vegetables are the pathway to health for families without kitchens or much space. Sarah tells me they have been unavailable for a month.
They are available now, and it would be meaningful to help stack a beet shelf. I remember them.
Canned beets are a healthy and convenient addition to a child’s diet, say researchers. They retain essential nutrients like fiber, folate, vitamin C, and potassium. The Pantry has to grab them when they can. They are suddenly available.
There is something much bigger than a single rural food Pantry on the table. I feel decency, compassion, and love for our neighbors are also on the line here. I mean it when I say you are helping to keep compassion and love around. You will be remembered for this.
Thank you. We will be able to tell our children and grandchildren that we were there when it matured. Thank you.
