It’s pouring rain, the wind is blowing, it’s chilly in the house, Maria is up in the Adirondacks, hiking and searching for wildlife, and I’m swamped with work. I pass on, marching through the pasture mud. I’m plotting for some flower art this evening. I took this photo this morning, just before the rain came. It says it all. And I’m tired. Older men need naps, I’m guessing.
See you later.
So, Jon, are saying this is “No Country for Old Men?”
Nope
Jon, It may seem desirable to you to try to avoid negative feelings toward those who do us wrong–who lie, hate, destroy, harm, and instead to keep a “pure heart”. But what you’re doing is trying (in vain) to be God-like. You are spurning and denying your humanity. It is not “good and pure” to feel loving and forgiving toward those who do harm to others. Those are evil acts, and we SHOULD hate evil. To NOT hate evil is, in itself, evil!
Pam you are welcome to your feelings here please don’t tell me what I am thinking or why, many times I’ve been accused of being evil and the devil for something I write, so it’s refreshing and odd to suggest I wish to be God-like. That is offensive. The simple truth is that you have no idea what my motives or thoughts are. The name calling that now dominates our commuications is always cruel and never useful or effective. They hate us, we hate them, their goes a wonderful country. Please don’t do it here. I won’t do it anywhere. I’m happy to hear what you think, not falsehoods about what I think or wish. But what you think I am trying to do is none of your business. I have enough work in my life, being God has no appeal for me. Don’t do it again.
