F.Y.I.: Canceled Federal Food Supplies: Massive cuts to federal commodity programs, such as the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), have devastated Pantry inventories. The termination of multi-million-dollar food purchase grants abruptly canceled thousands of planned truckloads of staple proteins (such as chicken, pork, and eggs) destined for food banks.
