P.S. I define God not as a single figure in robes, but as the spirit and soul that gives meaning to our lives and our work. I don’t know if the common image of God is real or something I can worship. I do believe in a central spirit that makes us feel and create. In the Hebrew Kabalah, God speaks of giving all of us “the creative spark,” and says it’s a sin to ignore it. Evelyn Underhill was a British theologian who helped me understand Mysticism and independent faith. I don’t care for religious dogma, but I do see a Spiritual Life, which has become the center of my life. I am getting comfortable with Mysticism, the individual’s faith. This leads me to Nature again and again, perhaps a God for Maria and for me.

Waking up in her own time.
After searching all my life, and “trying on” the clothes of various religions, I finally found my spirit connection in Nature. There is, to me, an underlying creative energy that animates everything, that feeds all life.
I have found my peace finally…and it was there in front of me right along. But I guess the journey was the point…
