It’s curious. I find that sometimes the mist makes things clearer. I don’t know how that works; it’s just how I feel. So many people are frightened these days, often for the first time in their lives. I have faith and hope. I’ve learned that the only thing I have to fear is fear. Fear is what they want. They won’t get it from me.

I see that some people who should know better don’t seem to know the difference between Communism and Democratic Socialism. This might help for angry fathers and uncles.
Both socialism and communism aim to eliminate the inequalities of capitalism by placing the means of production in the hands of the working class. The primary difference is that socialism is a flexible economic system in which major industries are collectively owned, whereas communism is a theoretical end goal of a classless, stateless society. Democratic socialism is popular in Europe. Communism is by far the less popular of these two forms of government.
There is no Democrat I am aware of that is a communist; political parties in our Republic has never embraced it, then or now.

First of all, I want you to know that I am in no way criticizing you with my question. I too am trying to find meaning in our lifetime. I have heard and read so many usages of the word “ worship or worshiping” and wonder what it means. Perhaps it is many things or one thing. I don’t know about that. What do you understand it to mean to you. You use the word often.
Kathie, you are free to criticism me any time, and you certainly didn’t do it know. I think the word and term is so widely used and understood that I don’t feel it necessary for me to try to define it for you. I’m not a seer or a priest, there is plenty of discussion about worshipping out there in the world. I’ll leave it to you. That’s a teachers job and I don’t presume to be a teacher.
