First off, thanks for the Diapers, some are on the way (we don’t know how many yet), Sarah would appreciate a few more to be sure. See below.

Some hard Pantry news: Sarah found out this week that the Pantry’s New York State grant money is being reduced at the Regional Food Bank. This, she says, directly impacts how much food they can buy from Regional.

The state is tightening its belt, as most states are. That means the Pantry has less cash to buy what they want.

Sarah says the Pantry is exploring new ways to pay for things and is considering becoming more self-funded through fundraising. “We’ll see what happens,” she says.

I said we would be there with here.

I told her we all recognize the Army of Good can pay for all of the Pantry costs, but we can keep doing what we have been doing with great impact –  help when we can, as often as we can.

That approach and dedication continues to have an enormous impact on what the Pantry can offer the people coming to it for all their help.

The hope is for us to keep doing what we have been doing, nothing more, nothing less. I told Sarah we will be there to help and do what we can, as much as we can. Thanks to the Army of Good for the wonderful support you have been offering this dedicated group of people.
