Thanks so much for sending enough Polygrip and toothpaste to last a while. Today, Sarah hopes for support for Beef Ramen, Chicken Ramen, and especially Velveeta Shells and Cheese, the “customers'” favorite food. The Velveeta Shells are empty on their shelves.

Even in hot weather, the people Sarah calls “clients” line up outside the Pantry well before it opens. Some come an hour in advance.
“We open a half hour early, and they pour in,” says Sarah. “I keep a box of cold drinks and another with snacks to give them when they enter. They always have a lot of appreciation for what we do.”
Above is a picture of Kim and the snacks and food waiting for people who sign in. Below is a picture of the two high school young men who come to help them move their carts around the Pantry where they put their food.
This kind of thinking is one reason I love working with these caring and selfless people in the age of anger, greed, and hatred. This Pantry is unique. They care deeply about the people they serve. They work as hard at making them comfortable as they do obtaining food for them.
They keep faith alive for me and for many others.

Community: Nolan and Christian are longtime volunteers at the Pantry; they are both still in high school. They come to the Pantry every week to help customers with their carts. This is more meaningful to them than TikTok.
