It’s a two-hour drive to the Noble Town Fireworks, and it’s still the same road we live on. This is a big ritual for us; Maria will get her wool back ready for sale (she has a list of weavers) in about six months. It’s not simple. We’ll be back early this afternoon – Saturday – and I hope to get some fresh flower photos up early tonight, as usual.

Reminder: Sunday is a Contemplation Day for me; I’m taking the day off to get myself and my head in good shape for now and the future. It’s very important to me and for me. Thomas Merton’s writings got me to do it as often as I can.

It will be in total silence, which is the best way for me to think. The annual wool trek is one of our most beloved rituals, reminding us why we are here.
