I was sitting out on the back porch taking pictures of some flowers when the sky turned black, the thunder scared the animals, and Zip disappeared. I love to watch storms, especially when I’m sitting out in the air with some cover. It was just beautiful to sit there, yet another reminder of what we miss when we turn from nature to money, argument, and hatred. I will never go there. Come and watch this storm approach. The rain and thunder knocked out most of what I was saying, but that didn’t matter. The rain makes the most beautiful sound. I had nothing more to add to it. It’s so much better and more informative than watching what we know as the news.

Jon, that is beautiful! I have always loved the sound of rain. A week ago Monday, we had a severe storm. I live in Iowa. The rain was very heavy, the sky was dark and the wind was so strong, that it reminded me of videos I’ve seen of hurricane force winds.
