Internets Down, Perspective Is Up: What You Need To Know About The Second American Revolution, Coming Tomorrow To An Election Near You.

by Jon Katz

I’m writing this in the hope of helping prepare people for the political turmoil shaping up over the next few months to November.

People are afraid; there are good reasons to be anxious, better reasons to be hopeful. I am no genius, but I do believe I have something to offer. Get ready.

It is the obligation of older people to pass along their experience and wisdom. I am an older person now.  I’m hoping it does some good.

Yes, Donald Trump will fight to the end and beyond to keep Democrats from winning the fall elections.

And yes, he will fail; he bumbles every single thing he tries. Just ask the water by the Lincoln Monument. The elections will occur and profoundly alter politics. He has nowhere near enough followers to support him.

What we are witnessing now is the big story, the biggest one: a historic shift in American politics away from our failing, outdated, and increasingly corrupt, fossilized political system toward something else.

It’s not really Democrats versus Republicans anymore; it’s not red versus blue; it’s young versus old. The Republicans have convinced the world they can’t govern; the Democrats have convinced the world they have fallen asleep, choking on money,  and have turned on the very people they need the most.

Older Americans are now the only people who watch Fox News or support the Democratic and Republican political parties. They are the only age group that isn’t troubled by the way the Israeli government is tampering with our elections, and how the government of Israel is acting in Gaza and Israel itself. Only the elderly get the news now from the old forms of information, the network news.

The people we once called journalists are caught in the grip of money and tradition. They are dull and corporatized. Like Trump himself, their time is coming.

You can see it, you can smell it, you can hear it. The Billionaires know it; they are spending billions of dollars to stop this revolution before it spreads (which is what it is doing). They won’t make it either. They are panicking and making poor decisions.

Seventy percent of people under the age of 40 get all of their news online, not on the networks, now all in the hands of Corporations and billionaires. They aren’t good and truthful journalists for sure. There is no need for them. Day by day, no one is listening.

All over the country, younger people are feeling the effects of a failed government. They get laid off on average every two years; they can’t buy homes anymore for their families; they can’t afford groceries or the rising cost of them; they can’t afford health care, and can’t find secure work. Their degrees are useless.

The issue is not Donald Trump. He can and will do great damage, but he is clearly falling apart; his incompetence, old age, cruelty, dishonesty, and mental disruption are more apparent every day. He is not the future; he is the remarkable past. Trump is over, Trumpism goes on.

That’s the trouble with lying a lot: when you need people, nobody believes you. Even his lies are boring.

To understand what is coming in politics – the big story, not the Trump story – pay attention to tomorrow’s Democratic U.S. Senate race in Michigan. Abdul  El-Saywed and Haley Stevens are competing in what is turning out to be the most interesting and significant political contest in the country.

It is clear to me that El-Saywed will shock the political world tomorrow by winning by a comfortable margin. This was unthinkable just a few months ago. He is everything older Democrats fear, and Republicans and Billionnaires despise. You heard it here first. Reporters know it; they are just not allowed to say it.

He is the face of the new Democratic Party, as is New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, James Talarico (his Texas campaign is, he is, about up and down, not red and blue in Texas), and Troy Jackson of Maine, a real, authentic,  and American candidate as I have ever seen or heard. He seems a winner to me, the right candidate at the right time.

If these and other new candidates win, the Senate and U.S. Politics will never be the same.

The estimate is that Israel and the Billionnaires are spending 50 to 80 billion dollars to stop El-Sawyed.  More billionaires are waiting for the elections to get closer. It didn’t work on Mamdani; it won’t work tomorrow. Watch for yourself. It will trigger much more antisemitism than Trump’s favorite supporters and building charges.

If you don’t read the vital, shockingly intelligent, and free-speaking journalists now called “Independent Journalists”try them out. They will help you understand what is really happening.

Don’t be fooled by the mass media hysteria about lefties and communists and Socialism. The election is not about that—another Trump bomb. Nobody told him that no communists are running for office anywhere in America. A scary King or true Fascist might have known that.

Young people by the millions are shocked and angered by the actions of the Israeli government. Like me, they refuse to accept the big lie – if you criticize the Israeli government, you must be an anti-semite.

The Israeli lobby and government are making an awful mistake; if anyone is enabling antisemitism, it is them. Americans hate the idea that a foreign government is trying to shape our elections (yes, it has worked for years). That is a sad and self-destructive claim by older Jews and the Israeli government itself. I am Jewish, and I hate the idea.

They are losing American supporters in droves.

In Michigan, all kinds of young voters, drawn by the struggles here, not by struggles there, are asking why they have no health care, and can’t buy homes or pay their bills, and the government of Israel is spending at least 40 million dollars to defeat El-Sawyed, a critic of Israel.

The new candidates are hearing the same question again and again. Why are we giving another country billions of dollars for bombs when hospitals are closing all over the country? Every day, Billionnaires on their yachts are making more and more money, and people we patronizingly call “the working class” are getting less and less.

It’s a good question.

A poll this week found that New York Mayor Mamdani, a target of network news and Israeli money, is the most popular politician in America, red or blue. He seems to have triggered this genuine revolution.

Like them or not, these are the politicians of the future, leaders of a new rebellion, much like the first one.

Our world is changing. I was born Jewish, and I do not accept the idea that criticizing the slaughter of tens of thousands of Palestinian children and hundreds of journalists makes me an anti-Semite. I’m ashamed of that point of view; I am an American, not a citizen of Israel.

The young people – they can speak openly online, many are both brilliant and honest – have grasped the danger of a country government by the wealthy and by Constitution-hating billionaires.

Billionaires have corrupted TV, Publishing, sports, and Politics. They have corrupted politicians in both parties, and younger Americans are sick and tired of being poor, ignored, and driven to poverty.

Democrats and Republicans both got greedy, swollen, and consumed by the billionaires, as did the lawyers, networks, and just about everyone.  The French Revolution taught politicians not to keep all of the money for themselves. It never works out in the long run.

The coming years will be among the most important in American history. Trump will threaten the elections, interfere with them, claiming any defeat of him or his followers is a conspiracy, and threaten voters in every way possible.

Trust me. It won’t work. It can’t work morally or logically. It is doomed to fail politically. Trump’s greatest gift is creating animosities.

It will be an awful mess. The President is a brilliant media manipulator. He is a reliably incompetent governor of a free nation or failed cleaner of Washington water.

He is even failed at vengeange.

His war is a global catastrophe. He will never annex Greenland or make Canada our 51st stat

He is not well and is emotionally more and more erratic every day. It can’t last. Everything he does is predictable and increasingly hateful and disturbing. People who watch network television have no idea what is coming. Tomorrow, watch fortch their shock and confusion.

That’s my input for the immediate future. I hope it helps. Please check it out online for yourself. That’s where media is today.
