A windstorm this afternoon took down a limb from our beautiful but aging Birch. First, the Apple Tree limb came down; now the Birch. It’s not a surprise; they are both old, and the heavy rains and wind have put a lot of pressure on them. No damage this time either; our trees are kind to us, even when they falter. And we’re both grateful we weren’t walking underneath them when they fell.
