I gathered some flowers from all over the place today – the porch, inside, in the pasture, out in the woods, a lot of wild stuff and enchanting stuff growing in tall grass and open space. It felt wonderful; come and see- it’s free and calming. I devote today to the writer and poet Wendell Berry. I thought of him all day. I love Wendell Berry’s work, and this message from Kay reminded me of him. Thanks, Jon.
Simple message this morning ...I think the ideas you share that you are wrestling with are common to a lot of us. We are all on this journey at a certain point. I am assuming you are familiar with Wendell Berry’s The Peace of Wild Things. It certainly fits with your pastoral photos… Thanks, Kay. It’s a wonderful book, out of print now. I’m touched by the comparison.
