The Real Work” by Wendell Berry
“It may be that when we no longer know which way to go
we have done our real work,
and that when we no longer know which way to go
we have come to our real journey
The mind that is not baffled is not employed
The impeded stream is the one that sings.”

My assistant in the field.
I had this Berry quote on my wall for years and on my bulletin board outside my office for students and others to contemplate. So true…
Most lovely. Please know, Jon, that your photographs are a part of my daily routine, even if commenting on them is not.
Thanks Steven that means a lot to me Jon
