Tomorrow’s request, a peek:

Tomorrow we launch a diaper campaign; here’s a preview for those who wish to see it. They are also on the Wish List. Amazon is swamped, so deliveries and counting take a bit longer

_________

Sustained High Demand: Demand at community food pantries is soaring. Ongoing grocery inflation and rising overall living costs (housing, utilities) mean that many working families, seniors, and fixed-income individuals are turning to local pantries to bridge the monthly gap. The government says it’s no big deal, just a war on fraud. It feels like a crisis to me.

In August, the Army of Good supplied the Pantry with 1,711 lbs of food. Thank you.

Great news and thanks. Sarah reports that the Army of Good Stacked Three more urgently needed items: cereal, breakfast, ravioli, spaghetti, and Meatballs. Like the Pantry, we are adapting to the new and very difficult reality. We are on a roll, stacking more than 15 items in recent weeks that the Food Bank and the Pantry could not afford. Thank you; you are pouring out generosity like a geyser.

Items the Pantry took for granted are missing from the shelves; we hope to restock the shelves in the main distribution room and also “stack” a few in the storage area. Food is harder to get, yet vanishes faster as more and more people come in looking for help. I’m a huge fan of focus,  the Amazon Cambridge Pantry Wish List has 14 items that are needed and missing from the shelves.

Tomorrow we will be launching a diaper campgign Sarah is out of those also.

Here is Sarah’s request for tomorrow: all mixes, food that families prepare together, bright spots in a hard life together. I know of no parent who is happy to run out of food for their children.

In America today, it’s increasingly common- a blossoming national tragedy.
