The tottering Ackley Building – it has tottered for 15 years – is mostly down, Bridget’s Pharmacy seems safe, but there is more work to be done on the wall before customers can be allowed back inside the pharmacy. Bridget O’Hearn lost a huge amount of business during the Christmas season, she is eager to re-open fully, although she is open for business. Customers are still confined to an outer cubicle, Margaret and Olive are still rushing back and forth all day. Looks like Monday will finally be liberation day for O’Hearn’s, one of the few surviving independent pharmacies around.
