March 4, 2010 – Maria showed up with this neat new handbag, spun out of her magical Studio Barn. I love seeing what comes out of there, and promptly stole it to take it outside and get a photo. The bags are up for viewing on her website. I enjoy watching the evolution of such a gifted artist. There are no dog or cat elements in this bag, it’s just a lovely handbag (I think, unbiased as I am.)
Tonight: Mary Kellogg will read from her new book of poetry “Whistling Woman” at Red Fox Books in Glens Falls, N.Y. 7 p.m. Maria and I will be there to talk about the photos in the book and the editorial decisions that went into its production.
