Tuesday. Storm

by Jon Katz
That kind of winter

You can tell if it’s snowing when you wake up and hear the silence. Few cars, no birds. A blanket of peace that cuts off the distractions and troubles of the world. A good day to step within yourself and live one day at a time In the moment. I will shortly take the dogs out on the path to see what the camera sees out there in the winter forest. This one looks like it will be going all day.

I got a potent response to my offer to sign any and all books on the library tour and also body parts as well. A bit shocking, some of these proposals, for a man of my age, but I do remember signing a shoulder in Milwaukee, several casts in different cities, and a chest right above a bra. Hey, I’m game.  Just make sure to support your local library. Now that I think of it, I’m quite lucky for a man of my age.

I hope to do some serious meditation today, and several walks, and to go see if I can spot some good storm photos. More to come.
