The dogs navigate the stairs, slowly. We are getting at the snow and ice with shovels, animal-friendly ice melt and sand. It is deep and rock hard. We couldn’t open the barn doors today to get hay or the let the donkey out and we had to mount a sand-and-sledgehammer assault on the ice frozen under the doors. That’s a first. No snow in the forecast for the first time in a few weeks. Storm Center is dozing.
I got a copy of my first children’s book “Meet The Dogs Of Bedlam Farm” this week (the book is out at at the end of April from Henry Holt Books for Children). This morning, as she sat on her sofa, I read Lenore the chapter that introduces her. I like she liked it. I also used my Iphone to take a video of the reading, below. When the books comes out, I’ll read it to the dogs. That will be a video, for sure.
