Woke up this morning to more heavy rain, more flooding predictions, more sogginess and mold. Started to feel sorry for myself. Then a voice in my head said, “wake up, wake up, man! Do your job!” The role of the artist in the information age is to remind human beings of the beauty and light and color of the world, to affirm and inspire them in any way possible to ignite the sacred Creative Spark and get moving. So I grabbed all of my hear – video camera, Canon, dog and head out into the downpour to find the beauty there. And I did, I did. Today my job will be to share the beauty with you. Photos and Rain Video coming. I was awed and humbled by the beautiful things I found, and will share them with you.
And oh yes, I have a plastic bag for the video camera, although I did drop it partially into the water tank.
