Nothing is sadder for Lenore than to see food that other creatures are eating. I am glad she is not getting that stuff, as it often shows up later.
Ever since the fox showed up, Meg sticks close to Simon, who is now her Chicken Transport. Meg, the Hen of Entitlement, likes to ride him to the hay feeder, where she pecks for bugs and seeds. Sometimes she waits for a ride back, sometimes she walks. Meg is an unusual chicken, and Simon has become her bodyguard. This is my train, she seems to be suggesting. Maybe Hollywood will call.
