I thank you for bringing love into my life, a light that is always shining in my heart.,
and for her peaceful sleep.
I thank you for the gift of watching her creative spirit
bursting into the world.
I thank you for the sweetness of the morning, for the joy of solitude.
I thank you for my fingers, through flow my words, my messages to the world.
For the animals who have opened my heart and taught me to listen and love.
For my camera, which captures the light and color of my world.
For the people who follow my work.
I give thanks for my books, those I write and those I read.
For the friends who enter my life and share theirs with me.
For my daughter and her great heart and mind.
For all the pains and sorrows, my teachers and guides.
For the many good people in my life who helped me awaken,
and helped me heal.
I thank you for the breath I take, when I walk to my pasture,
the Red dog by my side,
and hear my Simon’s bray, and see the sweetness of the morning,
lit up for all to see.
