I have been rewarded for getting up early to take my morning walk with Maria, the light is different, I am seeing the world anew. I am enchanted by the meadow down the road, the sun comes up right over and behind it, and for just a few minutes, the light is bright and mystical, I lay down on the ground and disappear into this secret word of wildflowers and meadow grass, the other world recedes. As quickly as it appeared, the morning light is gone, moved onto the cornfield. I might disappear into the meadow for awhile, lose myself there.
