Sleeping Tigers: Disney Notebook

Tiger Habit:

It’s our third day of vacation, cloudy and cool, the hotel is deserted, everyone is headed to the parks, dressed defiantly in their T-shirts and shorts and sandals. “We came a long way to get here,” one determined mother from Ohio told me as her four kids jumped up and down in excitement. “As far as I am concerned, it is warm.”

It seems warm to us, it is in the 60’s. We rented a boat and motored around the lagoons, we are in a resting mode today – orders of the former girlfriend – but will soon head out to Epcot. Yesterday, the tigers were sleeping to get out of the chill, but their habitat is beautifully designed, evocative to me.

Henna Hand, Afterwards

Maria’s Henna hand design was one of a hundred different options, ranging in price from $25 to $50. Henna is a dye, it takes about 15 minutes to dry, the dye crumble and flakes off of the hand, leaving an orange color and design that lasts a week or so. I bought it as a gift to her, on an impulse. She is fond of it, women in India get Henna designs on their hands when they get married.
