Maria And Chloe: When Animals Enter Our Lives

Entering Our Lives

I came outside yesterday with my camera, as usual, and I came across this tableau that touched me. Maria and i seek a life connected to nature, we chose a life connected to animals, they enter our lives and are woven into them. Maria let Chloe and the donkeys into the dog pen so they can eat down the grass there, but also because we love having them in our lives, close to our home and to us.

Once in awhile, Maria will go outside and rest on Chloe’s back, person and pony, one thing. Fate, also a new animal that has entered our lives, watches and waits for a chance to work. Behind, the studio where Maria does her art, she loves to look out the window and see our animals right outside.

There are many different ways to be with animals, we believe animals belong in our everyday lives, they are not just animals to look at and pet, they each have a function and a purpose, they are tied into our relationship, our work, our lives, our emotions. When Maria rests on Chloe, something magical passes between them, a kind of energy that enriches each.
