Rachel Barlow is a profoundly creative spirit on many levels. She is a writer, an illustrator, a painter, a blogger. She is also a tech whiz, we just registered Yucacolorina.com as a domain name and we’re going over fonts and photos. Should be too long, we are putting together a WordPress blog. More to come.

Pamela’s Blog: The Birth Of YucaColorina

The Birth Of A Blog
The Birth Of A Blog

Pamela Rickenbach arrived Friday night, we sat up talking, she got up early to go see the animals while Maria and I did the chores. We are all excited about her new blog. She is calling it YucaColorina. The names comes from her life in Bolivia, the people there called her “Colorina” after she survived intestinal surgery as a child. “Yuca” means spirit, so the blog is the spirit of Colorina, the perfect name for a Pamela blog.

Rachel Barlow, the artist and tech whiz came to the farm this morning, she and Pamela are working on setting up the blog right now. My hope is to link to Pamela’s new blog as soon as sit is up and we can post simultaneously. Once this is done, we’ll head to Pompanuck Farm for a blogging workshop that will extend into the afternoon.

This feels exciting to me, Pamela has many things to say, many rich memories, a great love for the horses. It will be a wondrous blog. More later.
