Gus has taken to his new (and expensive) special muzzle, it’s called Outfox and it was created for dogs on fox hunts to keep them away from foxtails. It is the best muzzle we came across for Gus, he can drink with it on keep his eyes free.
Gus is eager to have the muzzle on, because he knows he’s going out to run around with Red and Fate in the pasture. He is clever and is learning to mush up some of the sheep pellets and try to lick them through the Net. It’s like playing chess with an inexhaustible opponent.
He has no resistance to the muzzle and has absolutely freedom of movement, and it stays away from his eyes. I was surprised at how few good and workable muzzles there really are for dogs who wish to run around freely.
This it’s the one muzzle that fits him well and stays on. It is also the most expensive, $46. But worth it, for us.
