The Amazon Wish List That Could: RISSE Bounces Right Back…

by Jon Katz
That Wish List That Could

The RISSE Amazon Wish List is like one of those rubber super balls, you can knock it down but you can’t keep it down.

We knocked it all the way down for the sixth or seventh time yesterday, but it’s right back up, with some inexpensive, but urgently need school supplies, and a few household items for the refugee and immigrant families. Cassidy is right on it.

This morning, an interesting new list. I’ve ordered staples, Scotch tape and anti-bacterial soap for $19.

There is a learning materials  Bingo game for $12.99 – quite ingenious, an English Verb Learning CD-ROM for $16.19, a second Whiteboard for $59.89 (the kids love the first Whiteboard), and some other practical and inexpensive things.

I’m going to the RISSE school today to take some more photos and talk to the kids and see the girls basketball team (the season starts in a month or so) and torment the soccer team as they go on their daily two-mile run.

Check out the new RISSE list, we are transforming this school and giving them a much needed morale boost. Thanks.
