Maria is making up invitations for her quilt show at the Crandall Public Library in Glens Falls, N.Y., in February. She’s having a reception February 18 – the public is invited. I had the privilege of taking the photo for the invitation (above) and what a thrill that was. Maria is becoming well known for her potholders, but much of her real art is in her quilts, all made of discarded vintage materials. The show will be a lovely expression of that. Friday we went to look at the gallery space in the beautiful new library, and it is nice.

It’s her show, not mine, and she has already warned me not to tout it too much. Sure, sure.
