Okay, okay, I gotta get to work, and back on the road. But in the meantime, I asked people on Facebook to come up with a new name for Rose and Frieda so I can try and catch up with the dog books out with much cuter names – especially “Pukka” and “Oogy.” The names are still flying around, but I seized on two “Pumpkin” and “Tuffy” and took Rose and Frieda out back and tried out the new names on them.

First off, it was great to see them sitting next to each other so easily. Secondly, you can gauge their reactions yourself. Rose simply would not look at me or respond in any way when I yelled “Pumpkin,” and Friday did not tear my arm off, which is good. She looked sort of coquetteish.

Now I got to go pack up for Hadley and get the hell out of here.
