Carriage barn, in the dusk
Many people I know – most people I know – have problems during the holidays, mostly with family. I’ve always had difficulties with family, and what I’ve learned is to think Christmas, to imagine the Christmas that I want and focus on it. Everybody else can do what they want. One thing I’m focusing on is Christmas brunch with Maria, my daughter Emma, and her boyfriend. I’m doing the cooking. I’m thinking Focaccio bread, scrambled eggs with chives and some goat cheese, maple bacon, fresh orange juice and coffee, of course, and tea. Maria is thinking of making some Somosas. Got to think of some fruit, too.
