I think a key element to a spiritual life, or a creative one, is to change the story. I often told victim stories to myself. My family, my life, my work, publishers, insurance companies. I’ve stopped telling those stories, or trying, out loud or in my head. Don’t do any good and keeps me in a place that is fearful and angry. I think of it as making room for life.

I should say in my blogging and ramblings, that I speak for myself. I don’t tell other people what do do, and I am not interested in arguing my ideas with other people or in defending them. They are just my ideas. They work for me, and for me alone. Everyone in the world has a different story, and the right to tell it in the way that works for them. I’m done with the victim stuff. Not the story I want for myself.
