I find a great beauty in real farms. Real farms are not pastoral, not calendar farms. Real farms are stinky, dirty, filled with all kinds of machines farmers cannibalize and will never sell or throw away. I think real farms are beautiful.

Today I’m working to finish my next movie, the next multi-media Bedlam Farm Diary with words, still images, video and voice. My first was “Lenore’s World,” although I didn’t think to call it a diary. My next, yet untitled is about the donkeys and my history with them. Got it down to four minutes, but have to halve it. Also I need a new ending. Have to really figure out what I want to say.
