Most days, I take Izzy, Lenore and Rose out for an ATV ride though the woods, one of their favorite things. The border collies run ahead of the ATV, Lenore runs alongside or behind. Rose and Izzy shoot ahead, almost out of side, and then wait for me as we approach the farmhouse after the ride. They are very aware of the ATV and will hop off to the side if they feel they are getting too close. It’s great for border collies, who love this intense running. It settles them. Rose will go right out and herd sheep for an hour, but Izzy will take it easy the rest of the day.

Lenore is a strong and powerful dog, beautifully bred, and she needs only a few minutes rest and some water before she’s ready to go out. I love tearing through the woods and hills with these dogs. They always know where I am and always stay close, but not too close. The video is bumpy, but it shows that you can wear out border collies, at least for a few minutes. Come and see. It’s great fun for us.
