Sheep At Dawn

Sheep At Dawn

Going to Glens Falls Monday to meet with  Diane Swanson and Patrice Jarvis-Weber about my story-telling workshop. I’m thinking of having it on the farm, and working long-term with four or five writers to put together some kind of collaborative effort – a book perhaps – dealing with a common theme, if we can all find one. Maria is interesting in overseeing this as part of the Pig Barn Art Gallery and I would love that.

I’m thinking about five or six people who are serious about writing and story-telling. Haven’t gone farther than that, but I’m thinking the classes would last as long as it took us to do something serious. I’ll be looking for people very committed to writing or story-telling and willing to work long-term on a project. We’ll see.

I’ve got 10 rough chapters done on the Frieda book. Had a bunch of kids come bye the farm today to meet Lenore. She is a rock start since “Meet The Dogs Of Bedlam Farm” was published. I love the response to the photographs. Got to get my haircut. Wash the donkeys. Go shopping. Get up at 4 a.m. again to write. I’m into it now. Less than two months to go before publication of “Going Home: Finding Peace When Pets Die.” Out September 27.
