Holiday

Quiet day. One of the ewes ran over Red and he gripped her neck as he got run over, pulling her over and drawing some blood. Red never uses more force than he needs to, and this time, he needed to. She topped over, we put ointment and washed her our her wound. Small but bloody.

These sheep have never been dog broke and they are giving Red a hard time. He handles it well. He is a gentlemen, but he had little choice here, if he is going to work with these sheep. Grounded border collies (Rose for sure) do not take well to being run over.

Maria is working on her Harley-Davidson quilt, I sure love it. I’m taking Red and Lenore for an ATV run. Tried it yesterday and Red tagged right along. Karen said she has a four wheeler.

Going to the movies this afternoon. Took some interesting photos today, a range. Red, the old sheep, some flowers and a beautiful massage table I walked by in Cambridge. I expect a quiet week. Some rumored showings, friends coming up for lunch tomorrow. We are closing on the new place July 20.
