Frieda And Red: Portraits Of Connection

Portraits Of Connection

We often think that dogs show affection the way we do, with lick and wiggles, and many dogs have learned to do that. But behaviorists believe that dogs show love mostly by their presence. In their packs, they simply are at ease with one another, and do not need the demonstrations of affection that humans crave. I see this connection all the time, and lately, I see it with Frieda and Red, two very different animals who almost always seem to be together when they are in the house. This occurs beyond my consciousness or explanation, but I can see it and feel it,  and hopefully, capture it.
