We had a garden riot at Bedlam Farm today, Maria and I went out to the Equinox Valley Nursery and loaded up a cart with flowers – pansies, perennials, and a Magnolia tree that we planted in the front yard. Two days of good and hard work, filled with feeling, so happy to have color back again. Seems we both need it. We found a new home for Orson’s market, in the garden by the side of the house. We planted flowers in three gardens, transplanted Florence’s flowers, watered and mulched. We let the donkeys out of the pasture and into the yard to mow the lawn. They did a great job (we have a portable orange fence we set up.)  It was neat to garden with the animals right alongside. I took photos all day. Red and Lenore supervised, and so did Flor who hung out on the porch.

We got a lot done, we are proud of the new gardens, we have more things to do, but it was a great start. We are sore and exhausted. I’m going to cook a multi-grain pizza with dried tomatoes, squash and zucchini. Then I’ll put up a photo album of our garden riot on Facebook.
