A farmer once told me never to get a dog that was smarter than me, and that’s when I got rid of my goats. I have another dog  that is smarter than me, Red. Border collies get very excited when they think you are taking them out to work. Red has figured out how to open the back door and slip into the house and when I got to the door, he is standing in front of me looking quite innocent as if he had been waiting there all of the time. I’m not sure how he does it, but it seems he noses the door open and somehow squeezes through. None of the other dogs have done this, I caught him this afternoon in the process of breaking and entering.
