I was originally planning to get a different tattoo, a Star of David with skulls embedded at the points, but Maria spotted this one online and we all liked it better. Alex sketches out all of the tattoos and then stencils them onto the skin. He gets an electric needed and puts the ink in, each color on its own needle. Then he leans over the skin and outlines the shapes, filling in the shapes with different colors and shadings.

It takes a steady hand, good eyes and a strong back, he spends a lot of his life leaning over people.
