I got my fourth tattoo yesterday as a birthday present in Bellows Falls, Vt. My friend Alexander Lawrence did it for me, it is the 3rd one I got from him. Alex loves to do skulls and I love this one, it on my right forearm, above my
“Maria” tattoo, the Star of David is done in blue, the swords red and white, the skull in black and white of course, I love it. Still figuring out what it means for me, but it definitely means something. The whole idea of the Jewish Pirate makes me smile, but also think a bit about stereotypes, history and surprises.

We got back from our one-day birthday excursion this afternoon to a house full of mail, chores, e-mail and messages.
