This pasture was covered in ice and snow for five months, the animals missed it, I think, it is where they like to lie down and graze. I don’t think the donkeys were able to lie down much this winter, the ground was hard and cold and often covered in mud and ice. Donkeys and sheep are hearty but this winter was challenging for them, as it was for us. It is very nice to see the animals out grazing outside of the window, it reminds us why we are here.
