The White Animals: Living Within Themselves

The white lambs are often together, they day is different from other lambs. They are often well apart from Ma, who has begun grazing away from the pole barn. They are always together. They are comfortable around me and my camera now, I can come  close to them, sit down. They do not hop and jump around like the other lambs, and they seem content to observe their surroundings – me, Maria, the pasture, the house, the dogs.

They sit in the  pole barn when it is hot. They take their time answering Ma’s pleading calls to them. They like to be with the other lambs, but to not play with them.

They do not fear Red, they often walk up to him, and they do not run from him. They look me in the eye when I appear, they convey the idea that they are trying to tell me something, that they are bringing me messages. They look into the camera.  Have they come to tell me something? I don’t know. I think they have come for a purpose, yet to be revealed.
