Hydrangea: Privacy Bush

We went to our favorite nursery, the Equinox Valley Nursery in Manchester, Vt. to get what we called a “privacy bush.”

We live on a busy road, we are very happy where we are but we are often visible from the road, people love to honk and wave at us, we are putting together a private corner of the back yard that is going to be a private corner, shaded by trees and cut off from the sight of the road by a Dahlia and garden and a thick Hydrangea, which grows fast, tall and wide. This will allow us to sit outside, eat, talk, meditate and watch our animals.

We will still look out over a beautiful view and mostly be invisible from the road. We are grateful to Jesse at the nursery for walking us through our many options. Hydrangea is a good choice for us, we cameĀ  home and Maria dug a hole. This is a great little corner, we will be surrounded by trees, bushes and beautiful Dahlia’s, not to mention donkeys and lambs.
