Face On The Wall: Is It Frieda? A Dog Spirit? What Do Others See?

Face On The Wall

Maria has been working on the dining room wall, turning a section into a work of art with her paintings and sketches and tree. She washed over one last section of greenish plaster, and this remarkable image appeared. Maria outlined the figure with a small point marker, she highlighted the nostrils, the mouth, the eye.

She wasn’t certain what she was seeing, although she recognized it as an animal, a spirit, a dog spirit perhaps. I saw Frieda in this image, it felt to me as if Frieda was leaving her image, her mark, on the house, on us. Frieda is 15 years old, she is aging, she is preparing to depart for another life in another time. I see her spirit here.

I am not into ghosts or the occult, although a shaman did teach me that there are things in the world I just do not understand, which does not mean they are not true. This image is a powerful message, I am not certain what the message is, but I feel it very powerfully.

This year, a year in which carriage horses speak to me almost daily, the boundaries of my imagination are growing and opening up. But I wanted to share it and see what others saw, it has shaken me up a bit.
