Fate has happily joined the ranks of the workaholic border collies, animals who would easily sacrifice their bones and legs and lives for us. I do not know how she musters the energy to do what she does, I am grateful to her, she is already helping us to run the farm and move the sheep and contain. As her eye develops, she is using the Tasmanian Devil approach to keep the sheep in place, she tears around them in a circle and they stay where they are.I let her do this until her tongue is long and near the ground. Then I call her off and make her lie down. In a minute, she is ready and eager to get up.
